My Approach

Welcome, I’m Georgia and I’m so glad you’re here.

The name Conscious and Connected reflects the heart of my work. It speaks to the deep, relational space I create with each of my clients, focusing on the connection between body, mind, and nervous system.

My approach is grounded in the science of neurobiology, emphasizing the profound ways our bodies and brains shape our experiences. I integrate these insights with evidence-based therapeutic practices, including person-centred therapy, psychodynamic theory, and CBT. The result is a holistic, somatic approach that nurtures healing at the level of both the body and mind, allowing us to work through physiological, emotional, cognitive, and behavioural patterns in a safe and connected way.

At the core of my work is the understanding that as human beings, we are innately wired for connection. It’s how we are designed to survive and to thrive - through one another. Our nervous systems seek resonance with others, and it’s through this relational space that true healing happens.

Through empathy, unconditional acceptance, and co-regulation, therapy becomes a space to explore relational and survival patterns, to uncover the beliefs we hold about ourselves and the world, and to nurture a deeper sense of authenticity, acceptance, and love for ourselves and for others. I work with you to understand your body’s cues, the patterns of stress and survival that may be stored in your system, and help you bring awareness to how your nervous system responds to the world around you.

To me, therapy isn’t a radical transformation into someone new, but a process of coming home to yourself in each moment, learning to feel safe, anchored, and at ease in the person you already are. From that place of acceptance, growth unfolds naturally.

My work brings together the wisdom of humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioural schools of thought, alongside ancient spiritual principles, all viewed through the grounded and shared lens of science.

Because when we expand our conscious awareness, we expand our capacity to connect to ourselves, to others, and the world around us.

I hold a First-Class (Honours) Degree in Counselling, as well as a Level 4 qualification in Psychotherapy and a Level 3 qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I am trauma-informed and professionally trained, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) — membership number 00972516.

I offer an initial telephone consultation, giving us the opportunity to connect and see whether working together feels like the right fit for you. From there, I provide hourly counselling sessions, available online or in person from my practice in Port Talbot.
